A comprehensive take on zero waste
A short distance from the port of Lorient, Code 0 is a café committed to the concept of “zero waste.” The café’s founders, Thaïs and Aliénor, have spared no effort to achieve their waste-free objective. Accordingly, the café is comprised almost entirely of secondhand materials, and each day, the establishment displays a small sack, only 400g, containing all of the food waste produced in the preparation of the breakfast and lunch service. Code 0 is rarely empty, and rightly so. The café serves healthy, honest-to-goodness cooking in a welcoming ambiance.
