Puyloubier’s favorite local hangout
Located in Puyloubier, a small town at the base of the Montagne Saint-Victoire, La Place serves seasonal, bistro-style cuisine, offering excellent quality at an accessible cost. For Christophe and Cedric, both Puyloubier locals, there was something really special about taking over this well-loved local establishment. “When it was put up for sale, Cedric and I wanted to give it a second life, all the while staying true to its small-town character.” And so La Place was reborn, still the same cherished community space that it once was, but with an added eco-friendly boost. When the warm weather sets in, La Place’s shady terrace is teaming with customers, who treated to a parade of seasonal plates featuring local products: grilled octopus and gilthead bream, for example, or green asparagus from nearby Grasse garnished with a fresh goat cheese mousse. The wine list showcases a selection of superb Provençal vineyards, and even the mineral water is sourced locally from a spring near Aix-en-Provence.
