Flavorful catering

The name evokes the Japanese neologism for a “pleasant, savory taste,” but for chef Enora, who started her own catering service in September 2020, “Umami” is an homage to her grandmothers. “Hummm, Mamie!,” she would say as a child when her grandmothers would serve Breton crêpes dripping with butter or a fresh-pressed orange juice. Situated inside an erstwhile butcher shop in the small village of Salon-la-Tour in the Corrèze department in central France, Enora’s catering service serves an ever-changing selection of catered meals to gastronomic locals and artists in residence. Seasonal pickings, along with the special tastes of her clientele, are the source of Enora’s creativity. She uses 100% organic vegetables, sourced directly from local farmers, and relies on a nearby bulk foods store for the rest of her ingredients. Inspired by the rich flavors of her childhood, Enora’s catering service is resolutely oriented towards an environmentally friendly future!
